Student Takeover

Mark your calendars for August 9-11, 2013!

Elevation Students are participating in an all-day event on Friday, August 9th, and taking over the Worship Experiences on Saturday and Sunday, August 10th and 11th. Keep your eye on @eStudents for more details.



We are so excited about Student Takeover 2013 as students from all over our city gather together to lead their generation in worship and outreach. At Elevation Church we do not have a student ministry, we ARE a student ministry.

This year, Friday, August 9th will be a full day providing a glimpse of the vision we have for our students. We will serve by packaging over 100,000 meals for Servants With a Heart, enjoy fun with friends at Carowinds, worship together at our Blakeney campus and encourage students to join a student eGroup.

Registration does include a $25 fee this year.

Included in registration:

  • Transportation for the entire day on Friday
  • Admission to Carowinds
  • Both lunch and dinner on Friday
  • A “swag bag” filled with all sorts of Elevation student gear
  • A day that is unforgettable!!

Scholarships available, please e-mail eStudents@elevationchurch.org if you would like to attend but can not afford the fee.

August 9th: All Day Student Event

  • Student Check In: 8:30AM
  • Depart campuses for Carowinds 9:00 to 9:30 AM

  • Pick up at 10:30 from all campuses

August 10th and 11th

  • Students will be taking over volunteer roles for Student Takeover weekend. We’re asking that all of our students attend their campus and we will place them in various volunteer roles.
  • Saturday Night Worship Experience:
  • Blakeney and Matthews – Students arriving at 3:30PM
  • Sunday Morning Worship Experience:
  • All Campuses- Students arriving at 8AM

  • WHO CAN ATTEND STUDENT TAKEOVER?

    Any student going into the 6th grade to anyone who completed 12th grade.

  • CAN I INVITE FRIENDS?

    Yes, we want you to bring all of your friends.

  • WHEN DO I HAVE TO BE REGISTRED BY?

    Registration will close August 2nd. We will need numbers for food and tickets for Carowinds. We will not be able to extend registration past the 2nd.

  • I ALREADY HAVE A SEASON PASS TO CAROWINDS…

    Awesome! We will still be asking you to pay the $25 registration fee to cover your lunch and dinner, transportation, and “swag bag”. There is a place on registration to mark that you have a season pass. This will help us know exactly how many tickets to purchase.

  • DO I NEED TO BRING EXTRA SPENDING MONEY?

    We will be providing you with lunch and dinner. If you get hungry easily and are going to want a snack or drink- it might not hurt to bring some extra money.

  • I WANT TO MAKE SURE I’M WITH MY FRIENDS, HOW CAN I DO THIS?

    Choose the same location to check in and be picked up from. Also, you will be placed in groups based on your eGroup leader.

  • I DRIVE, DO I HAVE TO USE THE TRANSPORATION PROVIDED?

    Yes, our bus groups is how we will make sure you are safe all day. Don’t worry, DJ Breez is making us a playlist for our rides on the bus. ☺

  • CAN I CHECK OUT MY STUDENT EARLY?

    For safety reasons we are unable to allow students to be checked out (or in) early. They will need to be checked in and picked up at the campus they are receiving transportation from. This will help us make sure that each student is accounted for on Friday.
