Sermon Highlights
You need to have a funeral for your expectations.
Don’t rush past the revelation God wants to give you because you only recognize what is being taken away.
You don’t know how it’s supposed to go, and you don’t get to say when it’s over.
Don’t praise only when you did what you were supposed to do, but for all the times you strayed and He followed you.
Who you talk to when you go through things determines what you have left when you’re done – You can’t keep your own counsel in seasons of chaos.
This is not the end because there’s gonna be a THEN. Trust God enough to leave the THEN with Him.
After the breaking, expect the revelation.

Prayer Prompt
Ask this question to your eGroup and include it as part of your closing prayer:
“Have a funeral for your expectations and let God resurrect your faith. Trade your expectations of others for faith in God.” Ask your eGroup: What are some expectations that may come up during the holiday season that you need to “bury” this year?
Pray for the courage to let go of expectations, to grieve losses, and to trust God with the unknowns of the future (the THEN). Ask God to renew their faith, heal them from past wounds, and for openness to the new beginnings God has in store. Pray for each person to experience God's comfort and presence in the midst of their "funerals” and for a fresh revelation of God's love and faithfulness.
