January Overview: The Bible is full of truth, showing us things like how much God loves us and what He wants for us. There is so much in it we can learn to help us live for Him!

Scripture: Acts 16:16-40 (Paul and Silas in Prison)
Focus: Even in a scary and unfair situation, Paul and Silas trusted God, and He helped them.
Bottom Line: The Bible helps me trust God, no matter what.
Application: I can remember God’s truth when I feel afraid, confused, or unsure.

This week, kids will learn how Paul and Silas were thrown into prison — but instead of giving up, they worshiped God. The Bible reminds us that God is always with us, especially in hard moments. When kids read scripture and remember God’s promises, they can trust Him even when things don’t go the way they expected.

💬 Family discussion questions:

  1. What did Paul and Silas do while they were in prison?

  2. How did God show that He was with them?

  3. What helps you trust God when things feel scary or confusing? (Share a specific Bible verse if you can!)

🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:

  • When You Get Up: Say, “You can trust God today — He’s always with you!”

  • While You’re At Home: Share about a time God helped you in a tough situation.

  • As You’re On The Way: Talk about ways your family can trust God, even when things don’t work out the way you want. What does trust look like when that happens?

  • When You Lie Down: Pray, “God, thank You that we can trust You no matter what.”
