What We Are Learning In Babies :: November Week 1
We’re Learning… I can give thanks to God.
Bible Story: Ten Lepers ● Luke 17:11-19
As a family, read “Ten Lepers” (Luke 17:11-19) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.
Game Activity:
Say, “Let’s do an activity to help us remember we can give thanks to God for everything!”
Say, “I spy… ” and read each prompt below. Encourage toddlers to respond by finding it in the room. Then, continue to read the prompt.
“I spy… a family member! Can you point to a family member? (Pause.) We can thank God for everything, like our family!”
“I spy… something (choose a color)! Can you point to something (choose a color) in our home? (Pause.) We can thank God for everything!”
“I spy… a toy! Can you find one of your favorite toys? (Pause.) We can thank God for everything, like all the toys we get to play with!”
“I spy… something you can eat! Can you find something you can eat? (Pause.) We can thank God for everything, like the yummy food we eat!”
After the activity, say, “Great job! Who can give thanks to God?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can give thanks to God!”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “Thank You, God!” If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
