December Overview: Throughout Scripture, God points towards a Savior who will restore our relationship with Him. This month, kids will learn the very best news there is: God sent Jesus to save us from our sins!

To view this week’s curriculum video, visit the eKidz Online YouTube page.

Scripture: Luke 2:1-20 (Jesus Is Born)

Focus: This part of the Christmas story tells of the miraculous birth of Jesus and also shows our response: to go and tell others the good news!

Bottom Line: Jesus came to save us, so we can share the good news!

Application: I can tell others that Jesus came to save us.

In this week’s lesson, kids will celebrate the good news that Jesus was born to be our Savior. The shepherds heard the angels’ message and couldn’t wait to share it. We can do the same — telling others about Jesus so they can know God’s love too.

💬 Family discussion questions:

  1. Why was Jesus’ birth such good news for everyone?

  2. How did the shepherds respond when they heard about Jesus?

  3. Who can you share the good news of Jesus with this week?

🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:

  • Morning Time: Say, “Jesus came to save us. Let’s look for ways to share His good news today!”

  • Mealtime: Talk about what makes Jesus’ birth such good news.

  • Drive Time: Sing along to a favorite Christmas song that celebrates Jesus’ birth, and talk about what it means.

  • Bedtime: Pray, “God, thank You for sending Jesus to save us. Help us share Your good news with others.”
