July Overview: Kids will face moments that feel scary, confusing, or hard. This month, they'll discover they don’t have to face those moments alone — God is with them and gives them strength in hard moments. Through stories of Gideon, David, Moses, and Hagar, kids will learn trusting God isn’t just about how we feel — it’s about what we do. Because God is with them and gives them strength, they can trust Him and take the next step, even when they feel afraid, sad, stuck, or alone.

Bible Story: God Helps Moses (Exodus 13:17 – 14:22)
Main Point: When I feel stuck, I can trust God and take a step.
Memory Verse: “The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

As a family, read the Bible story together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.

This week, kids learned about a time when God’s people felt completely stuck. There didn’t seem to be any way forward. But God made a way where there seemed to be no way. This story reminds us that even when we can’t see a solution, God is still working. When we feel stuck and don’t know what to do next, we can trust that God is with us, guiding us, and making a way forward.

💬 Family discussion questions:

  1. Why did God’s people feel stuck in this story?

  2. What did God do when there seemed to be no way forward?

  3. Is there an area of your life where you feel stuck? What might it look like to trust God and take the next step?

🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:

  • When You Get Up: Tell your kid, “Even when you don’t know what to do next, God is with you and will help you take your next step.”

  • While You’re At Home: Share about a time when you felt stuck and God helped you move forward.

  • As You’re On The Way: Ask, “What are some ways God guides us when we don’t know what to do?”

  • When You Lie Down: Pray, “God, thank You for making a way when we feel stuck. Help us trust You even when we can’t see what’s ahead, and give us the courage to take the next step. We love You. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”
