June Overview: Summer is full of adventure, and sometimes adventure feels uncertain. Throughout this series, kids are learning that no matter what they face — fear, sadness, doubt, or loneliness — God is faithful. We may not always know what’s ahead, but we can trust the One who does. God’s got this!

Bible Story: Hagar (Genesis 16:1-14)
Main Point: When I’m lonely, I can trust God.
Memory Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)

As a family, read the Bible story together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.

This week, kids learned about Hagar, who found herself completely alone in the wilderness. But God met her right where she was. He saw her, cared for her, and reminded her that she was not alone. This story shows us that even when we feel like no one else sees us or understands what we’re going through, God does. We can trust Him because He is always with us, and He cares about us deeply.

💬 Family discussion questions:

  1. How do you think Hagar felt when she was all alone in the wilderness?

  2. What did God do for Hagar?

  3. Have you ever felt alone? How does it help you to know God sees and cares about you when you feel like that?

🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:

  • When You Get Up: Tell your kid, “No matter what today looks like, you are never alone. God is with you.”

  • While You’re At Home: Talk about how we can remind ourselves we’re not alone the next time we feel lonely.

  • As You’re On The Way: Ask, “When are some times you feel alone? How do you think God cares for you when you feel like that?”

  • When You Lie Down: Pray, “God, thank You for always being with us and for seeing us when we feel alone. Help us trust You and remember You care about us no matter what. We love You. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”
