What We Are Learning In Elementary :: March Week 4
March Overview: Jesus’ miracles weren’t just amazing moments — they showed who He is, revealing His greatness and power.
As a family, read “Jesus Heals a Boy” (Mark 9:17-27) together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.
Bible Story: Jesus Heals a Boy (Mark 9:17-27)
Big Idea: Jesus is greater than our questions.
Memory Verse: “Lord, there is no one like you! You are great, and your name is full of power.” Jeremiah 10:6 (NLT)
This week, kids learned about a father who desperately needed help for his son. He believed Jesus could help — but he also admitted he struggled with doubt. Jesus responded with compassion and power. This story helps kids see that it’s okay to have questions. Jesus isn’t afraid of our doubts. He is still powerful, trustworthy, and good.
💬 Family discussion questions:
What did the father admit to Jesus about his belief?
What does this story show us about how Jesus responds to doubt?
What is a question you have that you can talk to Jesus about?
🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:
When You Get Up: Tell your kid, “It’s okay to have questions — Jesus is still greater!”
While You’re At Home: Invite your kid to share any faith questions they’ve been thinking about.
As You’re On The Way: Talk about how you’ve trusted Jesus through questions you’ve had.
When You Lie Down: Pray, “Jesus, thank You for being kind and patient with us when we have questions. Help us bring our questions and our doubts to You.”
