What We Are Learning In Preschool :: July Week 3
July Overview: This month, preschoolers will learn God is with them and makes them strong. When they feel afraid, sad, or alone, they can trust God and go. God helps them take their next step!
Bible Story: God Helps Moses (Exodus 13:17 – 14:22)
Main Point: When things are hard, I trust God and go!
Memory Verse: "The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
As a family, read the Bible story together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.
This week, children heard how Moses didn’t think he could do what God asked him to do. Moses felt unsure, but God told him He would help him. This story helps us understand that when things feel hard, we can trust God to help us.
💬 Family discussion questions:
What happened in the Bible story? (God helped Moses and His people move forward when they faced a hard situation.)
Did God help Moses know what to do? (yes)
When things are hard, can you trust God and go? (yes)
🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:
When You Get Up: When your child wakes up, say, "If something feels hard today, remember God can help you one step at a time."
While You’re At Home: Work on a puzzle, game, or task that's a little challenging. When your child wants to quit, encourage them by saying, "Let's keep going together. God helps us when things are hard."
As You’re On The Way: Point out roads, signs, or directions as you travel. Talk about how God showed Moses and His people where to go and how God helps us know what to do too.
When You Lie Down: At bedtime, ask, "What was something hard today?" Celebrate ways your child kept trying, and thank God for helping your family through challenges.
