What We Are Learning In Preschool :: June Week 4
June Overview: This month, preschoolers will learn that God can be trusted no matter what happens. Sometimes we feel afraid, sad, or alone. But God is always with us and helps us. God’s got this!
Bible Story: Hagar (Genesis 16:1–14)
Main Point: I can trust God when I feel alone.
Memory Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
As a family, read the Bible story together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.
This week, children heard how Hagar was alone in the desert, but God saw her and cared for her. God was with her even when she felt alone. This story helps us understand that when we feel alone, we can trust God because He is always with us.
💬 Family discussion questions:
What happened in the Bible story? (Hagar was alone, but God saw her and cared for her.)
When Hagar was alone, did God see her? (yes)
When you feel alone, can you trust God? (yes)
🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:
When You Get Up: When your child wakes up, say, “Good morning! You are never alone — God is with you.”
While You’re At Home: If your child is playing alone or feeling left out, remind them, “God is with you.” Take a moment to pray together and thank God for being near.
As You’re On The Way: As you drive or walk, talk about people who love them. Then say, “God loves you even more and is always with you.”
When You Lie Down: At bedtime, remind your child, “God is always with you, even right now.” Then pray together, “Dear God, thank You for always being with us. Help us trust You when we feel alone. We love You. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”
