What We Are Learning In Preschool :: November Week 2
November Overview: This month, preschoolers will learn God is generous and gives us good things because He loves us. He teaches us we can be generous too by sharing what we have with others. Whether it’s our money, food, help, or things, we can share what God has given us to do good and care for others.
Bible Story: The Widow’s Offering (Mark 12:41-44)
Main Point: I can share my money.
Memory Verse: “Do not forget to do good and to share with others.” Hebrews 13:16

This week, children learned Jesus watched people give their money. Some people gave a lot, but a woman who didn’t have much gave two small coins — all the money she had! Jesus showed His friends that what she did was special. She didn’t have a lot, but she was generous with what she had. We can be generous by sharing our money to help others and do good too.
💬 Family discussion questions:
What happened in today’s Bible story?
How many coins did the woman have? What did she choose to do with them?
Do you have to have a lot of money to be generous? What is one way you could share your money?
🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:
When You Get Up: Remind your child, “You don’t have to have a lot to be generous!” Ask, “What is something you have that you could share today?”
While You’re At Home: Find a few coins, and count them together. Talk about how the woman in the Bible had only two small coins, but she chose to give what she had.
As You’re On The Way: Play “How Could It Help?” Name something someone might need, like food or a warm coat, and talk about how sharing money could help provide it.
When You Lie Down: Ask, “What did the woman in our Bible story share?” Then pray together, thanking God for what He gives your family and asking Him to help you be generous with what you have.
When You Lie Down: Ask, “What did God give you today? Did you get to share anything with someone?” Thank God together for the good things He gives you, and ask Him to help you share with others.
