What We Are Learning In Preschool :: October Week 4
October Overview: This month, preschoolers will learn God is good all the time. Because God is good, we can always say, "Thank You!" Thankfulness is more than words — it's a way to respond to God's goodness.
Bible Story: Jacob's Gift (Genesis 33:1-11)
Main Point: Because God is good, I can share.
Memory Verse: "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 107:1

This week, children learned Jacob knew God had been good to him and had given him more than he needed. When Jacob met his brother Esau again, he wanted to share what God had given him. Jacob gladly gave Esau a big gift! Because God is good to us, we can be glad to share what we have with others too.

🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:
When You Get Up: Ask, “What is something God has given you that you're thankful for?” Then ask, “How could you share it with someone else?”
While You’re At Home: When your child is playing or eating a snack, look for a natural opportunity to share. Ask, “What could you choose to share?” Let them decide what they would like to give.
As You’re On The Way: Play “What Would You Share?” Name different things, like a snack, crayons, toys, or books, and let your child tell you which one they would share with a friend.
When You Lie Down: Ask, “Did you share anything today? How did it make you feel?” If they didn't have an opportunity, think of something they could share tomorrow. Thank God together for all He has given your family.
