Don’t Let The Attack Distract You
Pastor Steven Furtick
Sermon Summary
Right when you start to feel some positive momentum in your life, an attack comes out of nowhere. Sound familiar? Pastor Steven uses the parable of the seeds to illustrate what to do when the enemy attacks and how to persevere in your purpose.
Sermon Highlights
Where there is wheat, there will always be weeds.
When we start to advance, the enemy attacks, and then we get distracted.
What God plants, God protects.
Don’t judge it before God’s done with it.
Don’t let the attack discourage you.
If it started with God, it will be sustained by God, and there is nothing the enemy can plant to stop Him.
No matter what the enemy plants, God got there first.
Don’t fall for the lie that you have to get rid of the weeds before you can enjoy the wheat.
This week, think less about the weeds and more about the wheat.
If you don’t let it distract you, it can’t destroy you.
Don’t give up on what it can be because of what it looks like right now.

Prayer Prompt
Ask your eGroup if they have any prayer requests or praise reports they’d like to share, and include them in your closing prayer.
Pray this prayer over your eGroup to close, and/or send it to them throughout the week to let them know you’re praying for them!
Lord, I pray for each person in a mixed season right now. They have good things happening, but they are also experiencing attacks. I pray that You will encourage them this week as they keep their focus on You. When they begin to feel overwhelmed by the “weeds,” remind them that what You put in them is stronger than any distraction the enemy can bring. Help them see the “wheat,” the good things, this week. Amen.
