Sermon Highlights

  • “The sword is His, the song is mine. Your song is God’s sword.”

  • We all have areas we feel like we want to “tap out.” But God is calling us to “tap in” to Him.

  • Whenever we feel like we want to tap, there is – a Fight, a Fruit, a Fence, a Future.

    • “Leviathan’s strength is in his ability to hide.”

    • “When the fight is going down, that means the fruit is coming forth.”

    • “Your praise is your protection.”

    • “Sometimes you sing over the fruit, sometimes you sing over the seed.”

  • Your taproot is Jesus. If you tap into Jesus, you have a well that never runs dry.

Discussion Questions

  • Pastor Steven talked about our Fight – “Leviathan’s strength is in his ability to hide… Name what you’re fighting.” What Leviathan are you fighting in your life?

  • Pastor Steven talked about our Fruit – “Your praise is your protection… Have you been more focused on your fight or on your fruit?” What fruit has God given you that you can focus on instead of focusing on your Leviathan?

Additional Questions

  • Pastor Steven talked about our Fence – “Sometimes it’s difficult to see where God has placed fences in our lives (where God is working in us and growing us).” Where do you see proof of God’s fences – proof that God is growing you?

  • Pastor Steven talked about our Future –“The fight is about the fruit – both now and the fruit that is coming in your future.” What do you need to start doing to protect the fruit coming in your future?

Prayer Prompt

Ask your eGroup: Where are you tempted to tap out right now? Pray for them in their specific situations and struggles; then pray that God will help them tap into Jesus this week as their source of strength and encouragement.
