God Wants To Show You
Holly Furtick
Sermon Highlights
We all want God to show us His will for our lives. God wants to show you your next step more than you want to see it.
We cannot know God’s will without doing things God’s way.
If you want God to show you His will, you need to:
Slow Down - If you want God to show you the will He has for your life you’re going to have to go at the speed He requires.
Sacrifice - Sacrifice is something that costs you something.
See - Breakthrough happens when you stop trying to show God what He needs to do, and you let Him show you a way through.
A sacrifice is often followed by a promise.
The more you begin to release your situation to God, the more your mind begins to become transformed.
Scripture
Romans 12:1-2 - A living sacrifice
Exodus 20:22-24 - Build an altar to God

Discussion Questions
“If you want God to show you the will He has for your life, you’re going to have to go at the speed He requires.” Where is God prompting you to slow down right now?
“A sacrifice is often followed by a promise.” Go around and share your word for the new year and why you chose it. (If someone doesn’t have a word yet, they can share their word from last year or choose a word that best describes their last year.)
Additional Questions
“Sacrifice is something that costs you something.” What is God asking you to sacrifice to Him in this season? (your pride, trying to control a situation, a disappointment, etc.)
“Breakthrough happens when I stop trying to show God what He needs to do, and I let Him show me a way through.” When have you experienced breakthrough after surrendering to God and letting Him show you your next step?
Prayer Prompt
Ask this question to your eGroup and include it as part of your closing prayer:
Pastor Holly shared: “The more you begin to release your situation to God, the more your mind begins to become transformed.”
Even if God doesn’t change our situation, He can transform our minds to help us view the situation how He does.
Ask your eGroup: What situation or challenge do you need to fully release into God’s hands? Pray that each eGroup member will fully surrender that situation into God’s hand and that as they do, God will renew and transform their minds this week.
