Sermon Discussion

Conversation Starter

  • This week, Pastor Steven talked about comebacks. Are you a “comeback in the moment” person, or a “staircase wit” person (think of a comeback too late)?

eGroup Highlights

  • What’s your highlight from this week’s sermon?

Discussion Questions

  • “I’ve got grace for this.” Share something difficult, challenging, or new you are going through that you know you are graced for.

  • “After the resistance came a revelation.” When have you experienced resistance that led to God bringing clarity to a situation?

  • Bonus exercise: “You want the devil to leave, give him a list.” Make a group list of the victories God has done in your lives.

Additional Questions

  • “Don’t get distracted by the conflict and miss the progress.” Where are you grateful you’re making progress, even in the midst of conflict?

  • “What God does through you is often determined by the “they” you’re connected to.” Who is a “Barnabas” (encouraging friend) in your life that you’re grateful for?

Prayer Prompt

Ask this question to your eGroup and include it as part of your closing prayer:

Pastor Steven said, “You want the devil to leave, give him a list.” What do you have coming up this week where you’ll need to proactively remember to make a list?

Pray that your eGroup remembers that if the devil is talking to them, it says something about where God is taking them. Pray that when they face a struggle this week, they can remember all that God has done for them.
