YTHX is a three-day event for Elevation Youth from every campus.
YTHX2020 is at Wilderness at the Smokies for an all-inclusive camp experience with gourmet meals and an extreme waterpark.
Youth will hear from world-class speakers, experience incredible worship, and make unforgettable memories with their eGroup and other youth.
Wilderness at the Smokies
1424 Old Knoxville Hwy, Sevierville, TN 37876
Lodging provided on-site at Wilderness at the Smokies. Male and female youth will be in different buildings and group leaders will be staying with their groups. There will be security on duty patrolling halls at all times.
We were able to eliminate the financial barrier for many of our youth because of our Church’s generosity. If you would like to sponsor a youth to attend YTHX, click the button below. When you choose to sponsor a youth, you’re not only seeing what God can do through you, but you’re seeing what He can do through the next generation too! How cool is that? You can sponsor any amount - no gift is too small. We’re so grateful for your willingness to invest in Elevation YTH!
We don’t want our youth to miss out on what God will do at YTHX because of their inability to pay. If you’re in need of financial assistance, please fill out the scholarship form by clicking below. Scholarships are given on a case-by-case basis and amounts awarded vary from half to full coverage. Your campus Youth Director will reach out after the application is complete with an update on your status.
How will youth be assigned to a group?
If a youth is currently in a group, he or she will be placed with their existing group leader. If a youth is not connected to a group, the youth director at your campus will assign him or her to a group based on their grade, geographical location, and gender.
Can a youth invite a friend or request to be in a group with a specific friend?
You can request to be in a group with a particular friend or group leader at the time of registration. When completing the online registration, there’s an option that says “I would like to be in a group with ____,” where you can list the friend or group leader who you would like to be grouped with. Both friends must list each other’s names when registering - this enables the youth director at your campus to place both students in the same group. If you forgot to request a specific friend to be placed with you, you can update this information in the parent portal link in your confirmation email.
How are group leaders chosen?
All group leaders are required to complete a group leader application, attend an interview conducted by an Elevation Staff member, and have a clear background check in order to lead a group. Keeping our youth safe is our top priority, which is why we require all our group leaders to complete not just the interview process, but the background check as well. In addition, due to limited availability, we carefully and prayerfully choose group leaders to attend YTHX.
Does YTHX accommodate food allergies and/or dietary restrictions?
We will accommodate dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan. During registration, please list any allergies or dietary restrictions, and we will plan accordingly. Youth are also welcome to bring meals and snacks to have on-hand.
In case of an emergency, how can parents get in contact with their youth or how will parents be contacted?
The best way to get in contact with your youth is through the group leader, who will provide his or her contact information on the first day of YTHX at check-in. In case of an emergency, an elevation staff member will call the emergency contact phone number you provide when you register your youth.
Can I pay using a payment plan?
Yes. You have the option of paying for YTHX in full upon registration or enrolling in a monthly payment plan. Payments are due the 1st or 15th of every month leading up to YTHX. Monthly payments are broken down by the full amount divided by the number of months until YTHX. Your first payment is due at registration, and subsequent payments are automatically withdrawn in the following months. Note: if you register a few days before the selected payment date, you will still be charged for it first at the time of registration and then AGAIN on the payment date. (i.e. If you register on the 14th and select the 15th as your payment date, one payment will come out on the 14th, and the second payment will come out the next day, on the 15th.)
Will a refund be provided if a student can no longer attend?
Unfortunately, refunds are not available. However, if you have enrolled in a payment plan and can no longer attend YTHX, you can cancel your payment plan and will not be charged for the remaining months. If you need to cancel while registration is still open, you can transfer your registration to cover someone who has not registered yet. After registration closes, we will not be able to transfer or add any additional participants.
Will youth need spending money?
Food, transportation, and lodging are all included in the price of registration. However, we will have YTHX apparel throughout the week if they are interested in purchasing these items. Apparel prices typically range from $5 socks to $40 hoodies.
